Injury Blues & the Red Running Shoes
Written and illustrated by Dan Schlesinger

A runner dreams of visiting his friend in Rio de Janeiro, exploring the city's hills the way he knows best — on foot, in his trusty red running shoes. Then an injury brings his training to a halt.
Told through Dan Schlesinger's warm pastel illustrations, this is a short, life-affirming story about what a runner does when he can no longer run — and why he keeps going.
All proceeds go to Freedom from Torture, a charity providing therapy and rehabilitation to survivors of torture.
