MOUNTAINS
Dan’s inspiration for this series comes primarily from his many excursions to mountain ranges world-wide– the Alps, the Andes, the Himalayas, among others. The artistic challenge he faced was to somehow capture the thrill we experience by virtue of a mountain’s scale. He does his best to do so chromatically — through his distinctively imaginative use of colour — and by creating a sense of depth: these mountainscapes are designed to draw you the viewer deep into their interiors.
